Exciting Announcement from Napier City Rovers!

Napier City Rovers is thrilled to announce that we have secured the services of Albion Coaching to design and implement our Central Development League (CDL) programme for 2025! This partnership brings together a wealth of experience and expertise to ensure the best possible development environment for young players.

Albion Coaching will bring its proven methodology to the programme, with its team of highly skilled coaches working directly on the grass with our NCR CDL teams.

Leading the Programme:

Chris Greatholder – A name synonymous with football in the Bay. As the former Head Coach of Hawkes Bay United and founder of Albion Coaching, Chris has been instrumental in the development of countless youth players in the region. Chris is an OFC A Licence Coach and a New Zealand Football Advanced Coach Educator, bringing top-tier knowledge and leadership to the programme.

Stephen Hoyle – With over eight years managing some of New Zealand’s leading Talent Development Programmes, Stephen brings a wealth of experience to NCR. Currently the Assistant Coach for the New Zealand U17 Women’s National Team, Stephen is completing his OFC A Licence Certification and is also a New Zealand Football Advanced Coach Educator.

Together, Chris and Stephen will oversee our CDL programme, ensuring a high-quality experience for boys and girls players and backing Rovers ambition to develop talent and grow football in Hawke’s Bay.
