Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers have signed brothers Kieran and Ethan Richards for the 2024 National Central League season.

Kieran (23) is an attacking player who has come from the U.S college system with East Tennessee State University Buccaneers and Melville United as his most recent New Zealand football club along with time at the Wellington Phoenix Reserves.

Ethan (20) can play in a variety of positions and has joined directly from Melville United where he has spent the last two seasons. Mainly used as a central midfielder or as a right-back, Ethan has a bright future in front of him, so will look to build on his successful seasons up north. 

With another brother pairing joining the club, Bill Robertson is looking forward to both the prospect of goals and the variety that both Kieran and Ethan will bring.

“Ethan is another talented young player, with excellent potential to have at the club this year and with his versatility to play several positions, which is a great trait to have as a coach for the squad.”
