Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers has signed Adam Hewson from Green Island AFC.

24 yeard old Hewson has joined the club after a stand out season for Dunedin based club Green Island AFC down in the Southerns league.

Hewson, who was also apart of the Wellington Pheonix Academy in 2019-2020 is a midfielder that will bring an exciting energy and quality to the blues squad for the 2024 season.

With bringing a different dynamic to the squad coach Bill Robertson is excited at the prospect of Hewson this season. 

"Adam is a natural left sided player, who plays with good energy”.

“He also brings is a strong dynamic approach to the game in both defensive and in forward areas matched with quality on the ball”
