MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

The junior season is now under way and it’s great to see so many youngsters enjoying their Saturday morning games at Park Island and other venues around the region. 

For us it is important that these junior players become an integral part of Napier City Rovers. The youngsters of today are the Mark Paston and other internationals of tomorrow.  Obviously not every junior player is going to reach the dizzy heights of playing professionally, but every one has the opportunity!  Over the years  the  number of local young players that have gone on to play National League, in Provincial rep. sides and become age group and full internationals is impressive.

Not all our juniors will make the big time, but, hopefully, many will become good senior club members filling the local league teams and administration roles.

Each week we are inviting a number of  NCR juniors and their parents  to be our special guests at our Central League home fixtures, and if they take up our offer, then they receive a Gift  Voucher of a free family pass for Mini-golf at our sponsor The Bluewater Hotel.  Thanks to Rodney Green for his support in this initiative.
