Napier City Rovers wants to celebrate National Volunteers Week by hailing our own unsung Blues.
There are a lot hidden treasures at NCR in the form of a fabulous team of happy helpers who keep the ball rolling week-by-week.
At the start of National Volunteers Week, Malcolm Wilson was presented with the Sports Hawke's Bay Volunteer of the Month Award for his awesome behind the scenes work at the club.
To end the week, Napier City Rovers wants to recognise and say a huge thank you to all the amazing people working hard behind the scenes.
But, also give player's, fans, and members the chance to vote for the person they think deserves some special recognition.
Chairman Phil Doran says without volunteers, Rovers simply wouldn't be the great club it is.
"Volunteers are the lifeblood of sustaining and developing football clubs. Rovers is a great club that means so much to so many. This week we want to give a special thank you in recognition to the vital contribution the volunteers make at Napier City Rovers," says Phil.
"So many people give up their own time and put in huge effort for the love of the club; these are the people that make the club what it is. It doesn't just happen by itself. It's a lot of hard-work and dedication.
"Football brings the community together and our volunteers help make Napier City Rovers an enjoyable, welcoming place to be."
Vote for your favourite volunteer today.
Email Phil Doran at firstname.lastname@example.org with your nomination and give your reasons why this person deserves the award. The winner will be announced after Sunday's Chatham Cup clash with Wairapara.
