Main Groups for National U19 Youth Tournament Announced.

IT"S THE WEEKEND in the football calendar that clubs around the country look forward to, and today Napier City Rovers have announced the main groups for the National U19 Youth Tournament.

The Lotto sponsored event will see teams from across New Zealand descend on Park Island in Napier to compete for top honours in the prestigious competition.

For three days over Labour Weekend some of NZ’s biggest clubs will showcase their top youth talent at arguably one of the best footballing venues in the country.

Last year’s winners Western Springs and runners-up Birkenhead United AFC, who fought it out in a hotly contested final, both return for a shot at the 2017 title.

With other top clubs returning, and some new faces debuting in the satellite competition, this year’s tournament is shaping up to bigger and better than ever.
